Small vessel heart disease causes the same heart attack symptoms of a narrowing of the coronary arteries. The blockage of a small blood vessel to the heart causes the heart to have to work harder. This can lead to a heart attack, sudden cardiac death, or heart failure. If this condition is discovered, it is treatable.
